Women And Heart Disease

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in American women. In fact, heart disease will claim more American women’s lives than all forms of cancer combined, including breast cancer. Because heart disease affects so many women, it’s important for women to be informed about heart disease prevention.Heart disease can be more insidious for women than men. It often does not show itself with the classic sign of crushing chest pain. Oftentimes a woman with early heart disease will notice she feels tired, experiences heart palpitations, feels a little tightness in her chest from time to time and experience periods of nausea.

It’s important for women to watch for the precursors of heart disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. Women with these conditions are more likely to develop heart disease than healthy women who do not have these conditions. Some risk factors cannot be controlled. Older women run a higher risk than younger women. Heredity also contributes to the problem. All women can help one another by encouraging each other to get annual physicals and to talk honestly with their doctors about any concerning symptoms.

Google Launching Phones

Google Inc plans to sell its own cellphone direct to consumers as soon as next year, bypassing wireless operators in a rare strategic move, the Wall Street Journal cited sources. It is called the Nexus one and it is been made by smartphone maker HTC, the phone will run on the search giant’s Android operating system — around which Motorola and other cellphone makers have built devices — and will be sold online. The Internet search leader may be sounding a challenge to wireless carriers such as Sprint and Verizon, as well as smartphone makers like Apple. It marks a departure for the leader in Web advertising, which has rarely sold devices directly to consumers, the newspaper said.

Despite the increasing popularity of smartphones, the entire sector seems to be saturated enough and it is likely to grow at mere four percent. Modems, such as 3G adapters, are likely to grow at about 40 percent each year while “ultra mobile devices” like media players and mobile Internet devices (MIDs) will grow as much as 67 percent every year. Looks and Feel Younger

Many older women think that getting older is synonymous of feeling older, which is not at all the case. Research on this issue has proven that women in their fifties can actually regain the youthful vigor they had in their twenties, just by choosing to live in the right way. While physical exercise is an important factor in maintaining a youthful appearance and vigor, it is not the only one. The way older women sleep eat and supplement will make a considerable difference on the way they look.

Sleep is one of the most important factors if older women want to look and feel younger.Older women should change their sleeping hour habits, it is best to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier when you are older, the sleep will be more reinvigorating than if you go to bed late and wake up late.Exercising is also fundamental to keep an older woman looking and feeling younger. The aging process goes hand in hand with the reduced exercising and inactivity over a certain period of time. This tips may help them to feel younger and happier.

The Jewel of Mughal Arts

The Taj Mahal-The jewel of mughal arts is a mausoleum located in Agra, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Indian, and Islamic architectural styles. Building began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, and employed thousands of artisans and craftsmen. The Taj Mahal incorporates and expands on design traditions of Persian architecture and earlier Mughal architecture.

Shah Jahan promoted the use of white marble inlaid with semi-precious stones, and buildings under his patronage reached new levels of refinement. The central focus of the complex is the tomb. This large, white marble structure stands on a square plinth and consists of a symmetrical building with an iwan topped by a large dome and finial. The minarets, which are each more than 40 meters tall, display the designer’s penchant for symmetry. They were designed as working minarets — a traditional element of mosques, used by the muezzin to call the Islamic faithful to prayer. There is no wonder calling Taj Mahal as the jewel of mughal arts.
